In-person visits

Library visitors are allowed inside the library to look for books and movies. Those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Check our hours page for available times. Masks are required.

Library computers, copier, scanner, printer

Library computers can be used for up to 1 hour a day. The public copier, scanner, and printer are also available. Those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Check our hours page for available times. Masks are required.

Curbside pickup

Requesting items from the Platteville Public Library

Requesting items from other libraries in the Southwest Wisconsin Library System

Visit our “How do I request items?” page or call us to request a book, movie, or other item. Requested items from other libraries will take at least one full week (or longer) to arrive.

Returning items

The outside bookdrop is open 24/7. The bookdrop is built into the South side of the building and is visible from the library/hotel parking lot. All returned items are being quarantined before being checked in.

Digital library

E-books and audiobooks are available 24/7 through the Libby or OverDrive app. Call us to help you get set up.

Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi is available outside the library from 4 am – 10 pm. Park in the small parking lot next to the building on Elm St or in our large back parking lot near the building for the strongest signal.

Weekly newspapers

The Platteville Journal, Tri-County Press, Grant County Herald Independent, and The Country Today are available for checkout. Call us to reserve an issue for you.
