Ages birth – 35 months Summer Library Challenge 2026
Want to plan out your badges before you enter your activities in Beanstack? Here’s a list of all the activities for the 2026 Summer Library Challenge for ages birth – 25 months!
You’ll need to complete one activity for each badge to earn the badge. To finish your Summer Library Challenge, complete 14 book or activity badges with your baby. If you complete more than 14 badges, you earn additional prize entries! You can also earn badges by logging the books you read. Happy reading together!
- Attend the Summer Kick Off: “Circus Spark: A Library Show!” on Monday, June 8 at 6 p.m. at City Park and/or “Fever River Puppeteers presents: Birds Are Really Dinosaurs” on Saturday, July 11 at 1 p.m. at the Library
- Check out a new book from the Library
- Count to 10 Together
- Do a digging activity: in the sandbox, in the garden, at the beach
- Give someone a hug or a high five
- Go on a walk or a bike ride
- Go read the Storywalk at the Platteville Inclusive Playground
- Go to Library storytime
- Go to the Library and complete at least 5 of the Library Activities listed on the Library Activity Map
- Have a dance party!
- Learn a new song or rhyme
- Play with bubbles
- Play with library puppets
- Play with Play-Doh
- Play with water at home, at a river or lake, or anywhere you can splash!
- Read a bedtime story
- Sign up for 1000 Books Before Kindergarten or update your reading progress in the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten challenge
- Visit the Library
- Earn a badge just by telling us what you think about the summer reading challenge! Please wait to fill out the survey until you have completed at least 13 badges.
