Wisconsin’s Digital Library (WPLC) – Also known as Libby. Download audio books, eBooks, movies, and music to your devices. You may have up to 10 titles checked out at one time from the Digital Library. Downloaded e-books are checked out for up to 21 days and are automatically returned to the library. You will need your library card number and PIN. Your PIN is usually set to the last four digits of your phone number.

  • Many students in the Platteville School District are also able to access Wisconsin’s Digital Library on their school device through the Sora app

AtoZ World Travel (SWLS) – AtoZ World Travel consists of 202 World City Travel Guides of 60+ topics each and 56 World Travel Resources. Each city receives thorough, equal treatment, with full coverage of how to get around, where to go, and what to see.

Archive of Wisconsin Newspapers (BadgerLink) – Full-text daily and weekly Wisconsin newspapers from 2005 to 90 days ago, including The Platteville Journal. Also includes selected newspapers from the 1800s and 1900s.

Badgerlink – BadgerLink is Wisconsin’s Online Library, providing Wisconsin residents with licensed educational content from multiple sources across a range of topics.

Britannica School Edition PreK-12 (BadgerLink) – Encyclopedia articles with images, interactive maps, games, and other learning materials. Available for high school, middle school, and elementary school audiences.

Consumer Reports (SWLS) – Online access to Consumer Reports ratings. If you are prompted for your Patron ID, please enter the 14 digit barcode number from the back of your SWLS library card.

Creativebug (SWLS) – Creativebug has thousands of award-winning art and craft video classes taught by recognized design experts and artists. Create an account with your library card.

Cypress Resume (SWLS) – Resumes made easy. The online resume builder that lets you create professional-quality resumes in three quick and simple steps.

Gale Courses (SWLS) – Available 24/7, Gale Courses provides more than 360 six-week long, online programs taught by college instructors. New courses begin each month, and lessons are assigned twice a week, enhanced with images, videos, and games to support varied learning styles. Users will enjoy a self-paced learning environment and engagement with fellow students and instructor through weekly discussion boards.

HeritageQuest Online (BadgerLink) – Comprehensive treasury of American genealogical sources for college-level and adult researchers.

Novelist (BadgerLink) – Fiction recommendation resource with read-alikes, discussion guides, reading lists and more. For teens and adults. Children’s version available from Novelist K-8 (BadgerLink)

MasterFILE Complete (BadgerLink) – Popular full-text magazines, reference books and other sources from the world’s leading publishers.

Transparent Languages (SWLS) – Transparent Languages is an online language-learning system that can help you learn languages like Spanish, French, Japanese, Portuguese, German, Chinese, Greek, Italian, Russian and more.

Udemy (SWLS) – Gale Presents: Udemy, from Gale, part of Cengage Group, offers a unique, tailor-made learning experience for adults who want to upskill for a new job or advance in their current profession. Major course categories include cloud computing, data science, design, development, finance and accounting, human resources, IT operations, leadership and management, marketing, office productivity, personal development, project management and operations, and sales.
