Winter reading with Beanstack

Getting started with Beanstack

What is Beanstack?

Beanstack is online software that includes tools to help you and your family discover books, keep track of your reading, and reach reading goals. Statewide access to Beanstack was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

Is there an app?

Yes! Search “beanstack tracker” in the App Store or the Google Play store.

What if I don’t have the ability to log my reading online?

Stop by the library or call the library 608-348-7441 to ask about being an off-line reader.

How do I get started?
  • Website: Visit plattevillepubliclibrary.beanstack.com. Click on “Register an individual or family.” Follow the onscreen instructions to register just yourself, just your children, or your entire family.
  • App: Search “beanstack tracker” in the App Store or the Google Play store to install the app. Once you’ve installed the app, search for “Platteville.” Follow the onscreen instructions to register just yourself, just your children, or your entire family.

Who can sign up?

Anyone! We have library challenges for babies, children, teens, and adults.

How do I know when I’ve earned a badge?

The badge will turn from grey-scale to full color.

Can I participate if the Platteville Public Library isn’t my home library?

You are welcome to participate in our library challenge. However, prizes must be picked up in person and are for those who use the Platteville Public Library as their primary library. There are thousands of libraries all over Wisconsin and the country using Beanstack: try searching the app for your local library!
