The VITA program offers free tax help to low-to-moderate-income (generally $49,000 and below) people who cannot prepare their own tax returns.
The Platteville Public Library is hosting this volunteer program in collaboration with UW-P.
Hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 12 to 3 p.m.
Special hours on Friday, April 15 from 1 to 5 p.m.

Registration is underway for a new book club just for kids! It is for children 8-12 years of age. We will meet at 7 pm the 4th Tuesday of each month beginning Feb. 22. We will discuss a book, make a craft and have a snack.
February’s book is Mr. Popper’s Penguins.
March meeting will be on March 22. Book to be decided at February’s meeting.

February is officially “Library Lovers Month”. So we invite all Platteville residents of all ages to visit the library on Sunday, Feb. 13, 1-5 p.m. There will be special programs featuring a knight in shining armor and his princess, library tours, games, door prizes, and refreshments. This event is sponsored by the Platteville Library Foundation. Come to discover something new at your public library.
