Due to a tremendous turn-out, we have added one more preschool storytime.  Children 3-6 are welcome to sign up for a 30 minute session of stories, songs & more! 

This 7 week program will be offered on Thursday evenings at 6:30 pm. It will begin the week of June 13.

Space is limited and filling fast!  Stop in the library to register.

A book club for children 8-12 years of age.  It is held the 4th Tuesday of each month at 6:45.  The next one will be on May 24.

This month’s book will be “Misty of Chincoteague”.  Children will discuss the book, enjoy a snack and create a craft.

The Platteville Library Foundation proudly announces a free family program. Professional storytellers, Tina Rohde and Colleen Shaskin, known as the “WonderWeavers” will take the audience on a whirlwind adventure around the world. There will be “stops” in many countries as we travel from continent to continent. Come to laugh, learn and be inspired. Hear details about our annual summer reading program based on a multi-cultural theme.

Location: Platteville City Hall Auditorium, 75 North Bonson Street.

The Foundation’s Annual Meeting will follow immediately after.

Professional storytellers, Tina Rohde and Colleen Shaskin, will be conducting this introductory workshop so that you can discover the storyteller in you.  Teachers, education students, librarians, home schooling parents, and caregivers are the audience for this session.

Time: 2:00–3:30 p.m.

Celebrate National Library Week with a Culver’s coloring contest.

Children 3-11 years of age should stop in beginning April 1 for an official entry form. 

All those who enter get a free ice cream and  will be entered in a drawing for an additional prize.
