Summer reading with Beanstack

Getting started with Beanstack

What is Beanstack?

This year, we’re using Beanstack as part of our summer library program. Beanstack is online software that includes tools to help you and your family discover books, keep track of your reading, and reach reading goals. Statewide access to Beanstack was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

Is there an app?

Yes! Search “beanstack tracker” in the App Store or the Google Play store.

What if I don’t have the ability to log my reading online?

Call the library 608-348-7441 ext. 2 to ask about being an off-line reader.

What happens after I complete my library challenge?

In addition to being a happier and more well-rounded individual, you’ll get a free book! You’ll also be able to enter prize drawings by age level.

How do I pick up my free book?

We tentatively plan to have prizes available in September through curbside pickup or in the library, depending on current health recommendations.

Can I participate if the Platteville Public Library isn’t my home library?

You are welcome to participate in our library challenge. However, prizes must be picked up in person and are for those who use the Platteville Public Library as their primary library. There are thousands of libraries all over Wisconsin and the country using Beanstack this summer: try searching the app for your local library!
