Our last day open at our 65 S Elm St location. Stock up on books and movies before then.

It’s party time! Say goodbye to our current library with cake, games, and more. Share your favorite library memories and make some new ones before we close our doors one last time. Help us choose the first book to be moved into our new library during our Final Farewell Party.
June 9 through late June The library will be closed while we move all our materials into our new building.
June 12 – 15 and June 19 – 22
3:00 pm – 6:00 pm
We’ll have off-site hours at the Platteville Senior Center (55 S. Court St, next to the Post Office). We’ll have holds for pick up and limited computer access at the Senior Center. No items will be due back while we’re closed. If you want to return materials, please use our bookdrop at 65 S Elm St.

Frequently asked questions

How can I get books while the library is closed?
You can still place holds on items from other libraries through our library catalog. Holds can be picked up at the Platteville Senior Center during our off-site hours. You can also use your library card at any other Southwest Wisconsin Library System library.

Where are your off-site hours?
We’ll have off-site services at the Platteville Senior Center, 55 S. Court St (next to the Post Office). We’ll have holds available for pick up and limited computer access. We’ll be open at the Senior Center from 3-6 pm on June 12 – 15 and June 19 – 22. Please use the bookdrop at the current library (65 S Elm St) if you want to return items.

Where can I return my books?
Nothing will be due while we are closed. However, if you would like to return your checked out items, please use our current bookdrop at 65 S Elm St.

How can I sign up for summer programs?
You can register for summer events using our online registration. You can register for summer reading during our off-site hours at the Senior Center. If you have questions about summer programs and registration, please call 348-7441 and leave a message.
