Computer appointments

If you or any members of your household are experiencing a fever, cough, or any COVID-19 symptoms, do not come for your computer reservation.

The library is offering computer use by appointment, starting June 15.

To schedule an appointment to use the library computers, call 608-348-7441 ext 2 or visit plattevillepubliclibrary.org/signup.

Computer appointments are at these times, Monday – Friday:

  • 10:00 am – 11:30 am
  • 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm
  • 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm
  • 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm

Computer users may use all or part of these 90 minutes. However, in order to sanitize the computers between uses, library staff are unable to let computer users in before or after these times.

We request that computer users wear a mask while inside the library. If patrons choose not to wear a mask, library staff will be unable to provide computer assistance.

We ask that everyone remain 6 feet apart inside the library unless they are members of the same household.

If computers users need computer assistance, they are welcome to bring one adult to help. We cannot accommodate children at this time.

Please park in one of the five reserved stalls along Elm Street. Staff will let scheduled computer users in through the emergency exit. There are three stairs at this entrance. If you are unable to use the stairs, please park in the back parking lot and ring the curbside service bell.

Computer users are welcome to bring their own headphones to use with the computers. Shared headphones are available at the computers.

Computers users may want to bring a flash drive to save work.

We are unable to make change for the printer. Please consider bringing coins or $1 bills to print.

Checkout, browsing, and newspapers will not be available in the library at this time. To checkout library materials, use the library’s curbside pickup.
