It’s time for the Platteville Public Library’s PEEPS-O-RAMA, the marshmallow Peeps diorama contest for ALL AGES.

Saturday March 10
Time slots are available from

  • 10:00 am – noon
  • Noon – 2:00 pm
  • 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

We provide Peeps, a box, glue, paper, markers, scissors, and 2 hours.
You create a diorama of a scene from a book using Peeps.
You may also bring any other materials you wish to create your diorama. We will have roughly a dozen Peeps per team. If you need more Peeps or need certain colors or styles, you may bring your own.

Dioramas will be on display at the library so library patrons can vote for the Peep-le’s Choice award.

Sign up as an individual or in teams of up to four people.

  • Teen: all team members must be 12 to 18
  • Adult: all team members must be 18 or over
  • Family: all ages, at least one team member must be 18 or over

To register you or your team for your 2 hour time slot, call the library at 348-7441, ext 4 or visit the library at 65 S Elm St and sign up at the Information Services desk.

Winners will receive fame, glory, and Peeps-tastic prizes!

Overdrive is a state-wide service that lets you “check out” downloadable audiobooks and e-books using a variety of devices, including Kindles. Learn how to set up an account, search for titles, and practice transferring them to a device.

If you plan to try using Overdrive, please bring your library card and the device you want to use to download audiobooks or e-books.

  • Registration: NOT required

Mississippi during the 1960s: Skeeter, a southern society girl, returns from college determined to become a writer, but turns her friends’ lives, and a small Mississippi town, upside down when she decides to interview the black women who have spent their lives taking care of prominent southern families. Aibileen, Skeeter’s best friend’s housekeeper, is the first to open up, to the dismay of her friends in the tight-knit black community.

The best way to get better at using a computer is to practice. During open lab, participants will have a chance to work on the skills they want to improve, including mouse skills, typing, searching, and using programs. A librarian will be on hand to answer questions and work with individual participants.
